  Kai ("the App") is a simple AI chat application developed by Simon Schubert ("we," "us," or "our"). We are     
  committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the

  The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. We do not:                      
  - Require you to create an account or log in.                                                                  
  - Track your usage with analytics tools.

  The App stores conversation history locally on your device to allow you to review past conversations. This

  - Remains entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us.                                              
  - Can be deleted at any time through the App's history feature.

  The App includes optional AI-powered tools that may request access to device features. These tools are disabled
   by default and require your explicit permission to use. When enabled, the following data may be accessed and

  Important: When you use these tools, the accessed data (such as SMS content or calendar details) is transmitted
   to the AI service to generate responses. This data is subject to the AI provider's privacy policy (see Section

  - Your chat messages and any tool-accessed data are transmitted to the AI provider's servers for processing.   
  - Under Mistral AI's free tier terms, your inputs and outputs may be used to train and improve their AI models.

  - When you use the location tool, your IP address is sent to ip-api.com to determine your approximate location.

  As the developer is based in Berlin, Germany, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

  - Local storage: Chat history stored on your device is under your control and can be deleted at any time.      
  - Device permissions: All sensitive permissions (SMS, Calendar, Contacts) require your explicit consent before 
  access.                                                                                                        
  - Third-party processing: Data transmission to AI services is based on your voluntary use of the chat and tools

  - Delete your local conversation history at any time within the App.                                           
  - Deny or revoke device permissions (SMS, Calendar, Contacts) through your device settings.

  date.
